We are excited to announce that our next meeting will be a joint meeting with 100 Men Who Give a Damn NL! This will take place on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 @ 7 pm at Easter Seals on Mount Scio Road. We'd like to send out a big thank you to Easter Seals for donating space for this meeting. By making one joint donation from our two organizations, we are looking forward to making an even bigger impact on a worthy local charity. New members are always welcome to both our groups, so feel free to come along and see what we're all about!

St. John's Chapter

Thank you for visiting the home of 100 Women Who Care St. John's!  Our organization was formed in March 2013 and is the fifth Canadian 100 Women Who Care group. Toronto is Canada's first chapter, having been started in March 2012. We are growing quickly and our proud and motivated members are ready to help our community. We hope more chapters will form in other Canadian cities as they get wind of what we are doing and how simple and powerful the 100 Women concept is.

100 Women Who Care St. John's was founded by Christy Haggerty and Carole Ann Ryan with a simple goal of getting women together to help the community they love.

The first 100 Women Who Care group was formed in November 2006 by Karen Dunigan of Jackson, Michigan, USA. At their first one-hour meeting, the Jackson 100 Women Who Care group raised $10,000 to buy 300 new baby cribs for an organization in their city! Their membership has now grown to nearly 300 members and many other cities across the United States and Canada have formed groups as well.

Bring together 100 (or more) women in the St. John's area who care about local community causes and who are committed to community service.
Meet for an hour.
Jointly select a local charity or not-for-profit organization.
Each write a $100 cheque to the selected organization and watch how the group’s commitment turns into a $10,000+ donation.
Do that four times a year and witness how $40,000 can improve the lives of our neighbours when placed in the hands of deserving grass-roots agencies working to serve the local community.

If You:

  • are committed to helping others in our community but are stretched for time;
  • want to be part of a powerful group of local women making an immediate, direct and positive effect on the lives of our neighbours;
  • want 100% of your donations to go directly to local charity;
  • want to learn more about the many worthy community service programs and organizations servicing the people of the St. John's area…
